Great intense fruit without being too perfumed. More expressive than previous vintages. A bit on the pricy side but worth its money I'd say. Good now but keepable for 2-5 years.

This SB has been brought up in big oak barrels (15% new I think) sur lie with battonage for 1 year. A few aromatics on the nose, like kaffir lime leaves, but otherwise the cat's pee on gooseberry bush and currant leaves are nowhere to be found. In addition to citrus the fruit is leaning more towards exotic, and there's also a creamy mouthfeel to it. Note: these notes regards a serving temperature of 13+ C; when served at lower temp it was muted.

Vertical tasting of 2013-2017.
Somewhat muted, especially on the nose. A bit dusty, other than that ripe yellow apples, minerality.
