I’ve had a few bottles from this producerC though this was my first Aligote. There was noticeable oak on the nose and palate that detracted some from the overall experience for me. Still a well made wine though, with notes of ripe meyer lemon, almost verging on apricot, vanilla, spice, and sea spray. The impressive thing for me was the texture, which was mouth coating and lush, especially at 12.5%abv. Maybe this would benefit from another year in bottle, but enjoyable now.

Drank over two nights. Much as previous bottle. I'd add I was impressed by the body and fullness this time, and noted a bit more complexity as expressed by hints of spice, more herb, maybe the flint mentioned in another note, and richer lemon, preserved lemon layer--especially on the night #2. Very good and interesting.

Vety good from first taste. Moderately full body, good length and depth. Aged lemon, herb, mineral, citrus/hint lime. Fine balance. Opened a bit over time, enjoyable with grilled halibut--great food wine. A bit more to it than other aligotes I've had.

Biryani night (Chicago, IL): Whoa, this is a super fun bottle of wine -- it doesn't show the heft and weight of the vintage on the palate (though the nose is a little more on that riper 2015 side of the ledger), but instead there's some really fresh acidity. Nicely enjoyable.

Very flinty nose with some petrol, ripe apple and preserved lemon too. The palate has a sun-drenched quality and is full with good depth and presence. The finish is fresh and lively and length is very good.
