It tastes more Bordeaux than Trentino-Alto Adige now I think, but a very nice one at that. Graphite and mint to go with the black currant and cherry, with some licorice and leather to boot. Very nice spot for this I think, and not showing any obvious sign of deteriorating.

Clean on the nose (as in no brett, funk etc.) with cherries and minerals with some clear notes of brown baking spices and hints of coffee, tobacco and almonds. Medium(+) tannins.

Fantastic interpretation of a Bordeaux-blend that certainly tastes of Cabernet/Merlot in a sun-kissed, Californian way (although of course a cooler Californian vineyard and not one of the mega-wines from there) but also tastes of northern Italy somehow. For me that has most experience of Piemonte, it makes me think of oak-influenced Barbera, with cherry and old oak barrel flavours being woven in to the lush dark currant fruit. This wine is both soft and structured, sweet but appetizing, you could even say that its profile is cool and warm simultaneously. Great introduction to Rosi for me, and I will be coming back for more.
