  Inherited my uncles wine cabinet (roughly 240 bottles) about 18 months ago. Just found this website and as of this week have inventoried all of the bottles. Now going through the ones that have drink by dates that are expired and working my way to the present.
  
  Note: all the wines have been in the air-conditioned cabinet, shipped properly and temperature controlled through the whole process.
  
  This bottle had a drink by date of 2006. So five years off of the end of it's supposed prime.
  
  And I think it's prime has passed. Color is a a darkish yellow and taste is flat but somehow has a smooth fruity finish. Does have an interesting bouquet of sweet tattered rags, though, which I mean in the greatest respect.
  
  All in all, not one of the expensive wines so not a huge loss. But would have been nice to taste all the wines when they were supposed to be enjoyed.
