Day 1, upon opening this was thin and rather flat, even after 45 minutes. Recorked with Vacuvin and set aside. On day 3 this was nice, with much more body, the tannins and American oak more pronounced, with vanilla notes and some leather, with grainy tannins. Threw a lot of sediment, the last glass was undrinkable. Definitely needs time, decant for at least 4 hours.

PNP and consumed over four hours. Aromas of black fruits, blueberries and cranberries that carried to the flavor profile along with sweet vanilla, sage, baking spice and chocolate chips. Nicely balanced with soft tannins and decent acidity. Smooth finish that lingers. Best glass at hour two and beyond. Very good QPR.

Dark color with a odd nose that I just couldn't get past. Rustic. At this point, I will wait another year before trying another bottle to see how/if it resolves.

Magenta in color that lightens around the rim. Some black fruit on the nose along with vanilla and an odd black rubber note that I didn't find overly appealing (this blows away with time).
Medium in body with surprisingly abundant acidity and fine, unobtrusive tannins. Flavors include black currant, black cherry, cedar, and more vanilla. The finish is tangy, a little spicy, and on the shorter side of the spectrum.
I can appreciate that this Napa cab is made in a more balanced, less overtly jammy style, but it came across as a little too simple for me. Not a re-buy if I came across it again.
