  It's a bit hot out of the bottle but mellows well in the glass. I'd probably rate it higher if we'd decanted it awhile first

  Color - Inky dark
  Nose - First whiff strong medicinal odor that was off putting. With a little age in the glass the odor began to soften yielding dark berries, raspberries, the off odor never did completely disappear. The medicinal odor could be a small amount of Brett which can dissipate with aeriation.
  Palate - Smooth soft tannins showcasing the Syrah and Zinfandel with a slight medicinal finish mixed with chocolate. If it weren't for the medicinal nose and palate this one would score in the nineties. After one hour in the glass the medicinal odor and taste dissipated. Not sure this one will age well 15.8% alcohol
