  • This pale yellow/green wine is a blend of two of the varietal's clones. Specifically, 60% is the typical Napa Sauvignon Blanc clone and 40% is the Musqué clone (a term implying that the grape is highly aromatic). I don't know if this is their reason for the wine's name, but these two clones do indeed constitute a symphony. Fermented in 75% stainless steel and 25% neutral oak, it is a light-bodied, crisply acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14.1%) white which demonstrates a nice fruit/herbal balance. Delivering an olfactory and gustatory combination of lime zest, kiwi, honeysuckle and lemongrass, it goes on to close with a medium-length, tart finish. This will not be to the liking of those who prefer fruit-forward and/or oaky Sauvignon Blanc, but those who prefer the fresh, herbal, edgy versions will be in hog heaven with this one. Drink now-2019.
