Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Medium-light ruby with brick notes. Nice nose of cherries, cloves, figs, oak. Light-bodied on the palate, as black cherry flavors lead in a Pinot Noir sort of way over spicy notes. Acid balance is food-friendly, neither soft nor tart but in a sweet spot. The finish is drying with very low tannins. If I didn't know it was a Sangio I would say it was a Pinot. And that's a good thing.
