  • Magnum. Great color. The nose shows aromas of lanolin, spices, citrus oil, minerals and a hint of flowers. This is medium bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and very good class. The fairly long finish features a lingering spice note. Exceptional.

  • Dark yellow straw color. Beautiful aromatics of lemon curd, petrol, flowers, tarragon, creme brulee. On the palate the first thing that stands out is the body - rather big and round, with a gorgeous smooth mouthfeel that seems to have mellowed quite a bit with time. Yellow apple peel and charred pears linger on the end. An excellent rounded oak aged reisling, but somehow retains the crisp acidic signature of the finger lakes. A total bargain.

  • Forge Cellars Classic Dry Riesling 2014 hasn't lost its agile edge, though perhaps, there has been a little softening with the passage of time. Lemon yellow in the glass, exhibiting quite tones of lemon drop, yellow peach, waxy yellow apple skin, lemon blossom, chalkboard dust. There's quite a lot of body, but that signature burst of electric acidity remains I find in many Finger Lakes Rieslings, neatly dissects the core, radiating white grapefruit pith and salinity followed by incredible persistence. 12.5% ABV | Sample

  • Nose of apple, pear, lemon zest, grapefruit and slate. Palate mirrors the nose. Leads to a long finish with bright acidity and balanced minerality. A very pretty wine. Served with smoked turkey.

  • Beautiful nose of white flowers, apple, pear, peach, petrol, lemon zest and slate. Palate echoes the nose. Leads to a long, soft dry finish. Well balanced. An excellent Finger Lakes Riesling and a very good QPR. Served with a turkey, pear, cranberry and blue cheese pie.
