Finger Lakes Vacation 2018; 9/2/2018-9/7/2018 (Finger Lakes, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Did not realize this was a vintage we had tasted and liked. Pretty good wine. Lacking depth and clarity, but had some muddled meaty/nutty accents. Time may not have been kind to this wine. "Very good," 86/100.

PnP at cellar temperature, paired with feta cheese. Pours dark straw. Nose has good concentration for the variety, and reasonably complex. Orchard fruits, hazelnut, and a little dried apricot all come through. Lovely nutty/quasi-meaty quality on the palate (once again typical for the grape) in addition to poached pear and subtle spice flavors. Medium acid, middle-of-the-road mouthfeel, and medium in length.
A well-executed Pinot blanc, and, as with many of the Dr. Konstantin Frank wines, a great QPR at USD$15. This would be a great introduction to the variety for the unfamiliar. "Very good," 89/100.

Finger Lakes Vacation 2017; 9/4/2017-9/8/2017 (Finger Lakes, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. 6-9 mo neutral oak treatment while on the lees. Spiced apples and pears everywhere. Generous, with medium(+) acid to support. "Very good," 89/100.
