{screwcap, 11.9%} Grassy. Vaguely reminiscent of a hunter Semillon; not much Riesling character. It’s dry, and has just a little acid, to the point where the balance is pretty good, it’s just that the flavours are so dilute and anonymous. Short, fading finish. Betrayed only by the quality of the grapes; by the time all Pernod’s upper echelons have had their go at Riesling fruit, the stuff left for this must be fairly mediocre.

2/7/2018 - ManhattanBeach Does not like this wine:
Matthew Jukes 100 Best Australian Wines (Australia House, London): Nice enough on the nose, pretty big and wild and rough/sour/bitter on the palate.
