  I was a little underwhelmed by this, but I think I am a bit of a Chardonnay snob and have had the bar for this appellation set very high by the excellent Domaine de la Bongran. Basically felt a bit white winey. Will try again and see how I feel about bottle number two. When you are making a wine with such a simple style the fruit has to really sing, and I'm not sure that it did.
