First tasted at the winery in 2017 & my wife and I liked it to the point that we purchased a bottle to enjoy at home at a later date. When we drank this wine in 2022, it seemed like the flavors, structure & balance were not what we originally had tasted. Although the wine is drinkable, it did not resemble the medium bodied wine with moderate tannins & a nice finish that we had previously tasted.

Obtained back in 2017, I cellared this for nearly two and a half years out of curiosity more than anything.
Pop and pour. Pours a beautiful, glistening purple-magenta color. The nose is initially heavy on sweet vanilla bean, but some time in the glass reveals some plum notes.
This wine is medium bodied with tangy medium-high acidity and moderate to low, well-integrated tannins. Flavors include tart cherry, black cherry (two kinds of cherry???), and a mineral element. Savory spices and sage fill in on the tangy, moderate length finish.
I'm glad I cellared this, as the wine is now in a fabulous spot. Delicious stuff that is ready to go.

Great color. The nose is fresh; showing aromas of dark fruits, spices, minerals, and a hint of oak. This is medium full bodied on the palate with very good concentration and good class. The medium plus length finish features savory notes and fairly round tannins.

Rustic yet smooth, moderate tannins build throughout the sip where dark berries, dried herbs and anise add complexity. Very good.

Finger Lakes Vacation 2017; 9/4/2017-9/8/2017 (Finger Lakes, New York, USA): Tasted at the winery. Cherry, vanilla, and purple flowers. Medium bodied but exhibits good persistence. "Very good," 88/100.
