Pale garnet colour. Decent plum and sour cherry aroma with a bit of leather. Lots of red fruit taste initially but quickly fades to a slightly bitter aftertaste. Medium tannins and acid give a nice bite to the wine but still very light. Good as aperitif and paired OK-ish with chili.

Tasting much more like a typical Niagara Pinot this time around, despite the blend. Red fruit, sure, but earthy and peppery as well. Whispy with fine tannins. Great balance of flavour.

Two of Ontario's better grapes are blended here -- a Bourgogne blend called Passe-Tout-Grains, in this case 60% Gamay Noir and 40% Pinot Noir -- to produce a decent wine that, when chilled, works well with food but that otherwise doesn't offer much in the way of depth or complexity. It's a rough, somewhat darker Pinot, basically, with notes of blackberry, cherry, earth, beets, and black pepper, as well as some smokiness lingering about. But drink up, because it fades pretty quickly, losing its initial freshness, turning rougher still, the fruity aromatics giving way to a dull palate and gritty texture, with minimal length. It has its merits, to be sure, early on, but in the end it's little more than a curiosity, and not exactly a celebration of these two varietals, nor of what can be made of them in Ontario.

Excellent Pinot Noir pour le prix. Plus léger que les pinots traditionnels. Bon choix comme appéritif

Not what we expected with this one. One dimensional with some red and sour fruit. Short finish and little complexity.
