A weighty Bordeaux blend ready to drink. Obviously quite ripe fruit but all in check. I paid ca. 40$ for it a couple of years ago, questionable QPR. If I want Bordeaux, I stay in Bordeaux. Very good. Drink now.

Cherries, fig leaf, tobacco and a pinch of eucalyptus on the nose. On the palate - very smooth and velvety. Figs, cherries with a touch of lozenges/aromatics (Dr Pepper in a good way?!?). Polished tannins.
Good, smooth WA Red but I would have preferred a bit more funk/personality. Does not reach its big brother Dead Horse. Glass: Riedel Veritas Merlot

Preparing Porterhouse steaks while listening to Katie Melua. Time to uncork a 2015 magnum of The Dissident purchased from Mark Ryan in Walla Walla, Washington. First sip. Not a trifling wine. A wine of substance. Second sip. The smoothness, the grace becomes more pronounced, the depth is still evident. Third sip. Aware of the blend: the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all integrated into a complete wine. Air improves the wine, with each new sip, the wine tastes even better.

Enjoyed this over 3 evenings. Bold supple fruit with tobacco on the nose, plum, fig and current, slightly earthy on the palate. Held structure and smoothed to become more velvety, long in thr finish the third evening. Delicious.

Very worthy effort and definitely deserving of the accolades. Had many versions of this wine and this is one of the better ones for sure.
