  • Tasted blind in VV.

Medium-deep lemon yellow color. Quite unpleasant and rather stuffy nose with aromas of old wood and partially fermented tropical fruits. Lacking freshness completely. The wine is medium-bodied ripe and quite stuffy on the palate with vague flavors of very ripe apples, some stuffy old wood and a hint of fermenting apricot. The moderately high acidity lends some sense of structure to the wine. The finish is rather dull with quite short flavors of old musty wood, some overripe tropical fruits and a hint of old pineapple.

An unpleasant white wine by all accounts. The wine might show good balance between the body and the acidity, but the nose and the taste is so unpleasant that I really find it hard to believe anyone would like this wine. And no, this was not a faulty bottle - at least based on the observation that this wine seems to be always like this, vintage in vintage out. A rip-off even at only 8,98€.
