Upon opening smelled barnyard, tasted thin, astringent and tannic. It steadily improved, and after perhaps two hours it was just delicious. A wonderful taste (berries I suppose you'd say), only a slight hint of barnyard, not astringent, not thin. It remained tannic. I left a little to try the next night, and it was just as good but no better. Still a lot of tannin.

Drank in the dark during Sandy. Nose of blackberry, cassis, some smoke (accentuated by the fire in the fireplace). Palate of blackberry, wet stones, trace leather. This appears to have improved over time. Still with robust tannins so plenty of life left. Delicious.

This was drinking great tonight. Soft tannins, nice nose of berries with light barnyard aromas. Could use a little more structure, but a decent Bordeaux from a great vintage.

Delicious, even without decanting. Still tannic, but not enough to detract from enjoying the wine. It just gets better and better.

Great nose, nice fruit, a little more backbone would be nice. There's a thin component to this wine that detracts from it.
