  • At the winery with Giuseppe: Again, very mineral, cherry skins, some tannins, serious structured rose. Great tang, austere finish, good sciara (lava flow!) in the finish

  • (Vin Italy, 2016) My first time with Pietradolce's rosato, and it seems that anything they touch is gold. With four hours of skin contact, this salmon-grey colored wine is full of character and freshness, with strawberry and soil accents on the understated nose. The palate is light>medium-bodied, it's tart, tangy, stony, refreshing and closes with the lightest touch of bitter herbs (of which I'm a fan, you may not be). Good length, plenty of fresh acids and by the second taste a wee note of savory. Perfect for a hot day. I need cases of this. 13,5% abv. recommended

    Served non-blind; tasted at ~ 8C
