  At the winery with Giuseppe: Again, very mineral, cherry skins, some tannins, serious structured rose. Great tang, austere finish, good sciara (lava flow!) in the finish

  (Vin Italy, 2016) My first time with Pietradolce's rosato, and it seems that anything they touch is gold. With four hours of skin contact, this salmon-grey colored wine is full of character and freshness, with strawberry and soil accents on the understated nose. The palate is light>medium-bodied, it's tart, tangy, stony, refreshing and closes with the lightest touch of bitter herbs (of which I'm a fan, you may not be). Good length, plenty of fresh acids and by the second taste a wee note of savory. Perfect for a hot day. I need cases of this. 13,5% abv. recommended
