Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 97 points

  • Greatest white Burgundy - Wine tasting dinner (Rest. FB (kg arr.)): Tasted among others the following wines against each other: Coche-Dury Les Perrieres '08, Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet '09, Guy Amiot Le Montrachet '11 and DRC Le Montrachet '11. Sorry to say but my old favorite Leflaive was hit hard by Coche: I gave Coche 98/100 (high acidity and a rich wine - this wine can last for many years) and Leflaive 95/100 (especially the aromas were not as expected, the palate's flavours were fine but not as good as Coche's).
Guy Amiot scored 97/100 and the overall winner DRC Le Montrachet scored 99/100. I may be affected by the fact that I know it is DRC. However the nose is the best I have ever experienced (very rich - not the American way - but still delicate and lots of acidity and finesse). The palate is almost the same. Overall the best wine I have tasted including red wines.
