I lost the tasting notes I wrote down more than a week ago, so this will not be as detailed as I would like. One of the best Chardonnay's I've had in several years. Outstanding. Rich, full, layered, long. Great stuff. Consumed at a tasting of Burgundian varieties (Chardonnay & Pinot Noir), this was easily wine of the Wine of the Night. I seldom rate a white higher than the reds in a large tasting, but this outshown all the Pinots (mostly from Oregon, but some Burgundies in the mix). It was far and away the best of the Chardonnays, from around the world. I wish I had more!

Very pale yellow in color. Apples (green and honeycrisp) predominate, with some light citrus notes and that kind of musky spiciness I associate with oak, but may be just chardonnay. Very floral, like someone slipped in some viognier. It had a lot of material and viscosity without seeming at all heavy. It was really very nice.

Luscious lemon cream, honeysuckle and poached caramel pears. Viscous and full-bodied. Stood up to grilled pork chops perfectly.
