Sight: Medium Ruby staining is just medium fine legs
Nose: Lovely Alexander Valley spices( almost green Szechuan spice), wafts of French oak with dark fruits of black currant, black cherry and ripe blackberry. Secondary notes of some leather and almost perfumed blackberry and dark cherry.
Palate: This follows on the palate quite accurately with more Balckberry and dark fruit flavors and lovely Alexander valley spice. This shows fine tannins and is quite drinkable on its on showing the softer 2014 vintage.
OVERALL: This is a little bit unbalanced although it’s so lovely in Cabernet character it is quite soft and particular and seems should be drank now the 2014 is quite soft and nothing is wrong was delicious just was definitely noted in the tasting.

PnP. Medium to medium+ body. Leather, earthy. Tannins are soft & very velvety, but almost a little softer than I prefer for cabs with lower-end gripiness--drinks older than what it was (though in fairness, impression possibly influenced by older but bigger 2008 Hestan Stephanie cab we were drinking in tandem). Medium acidity. Definitely enjoyable. Was hoping it'd carry just a little longer finish & little higher complexity. Consumed with charcuterie board + filet & asparagus for dinner. Given the already soft tannins and finish, don't know if I'll hold my other bottle for too much longer, but willing to try again on it's own to appreciate its merits (and consider buying more depending on second eval) without it potentially being overshadowed by a heftier wine.

dark red fruit, slight acid. cocoa, polished tannins. Filtered out a good bit of sediment in decanter.

Sight: ruby with hints of purple and medium staining
Nose: pyrazenes (green pepper), cracked black pepper, blackberry, plum, cedar.
Palate: fine tannins, dark chocolate, coffee, cedar, leather, black currant, and blackberry.
Overall: very approachable for a Cabernet Sauvignon. Velvety fine grain tannins, good spice, and ripe black fruits at the forefront.
