Impressed with the '13 I jumped on a deal for the '15s and I've hated every one of them. Time in bottle has helped somewhat, but the Jolly Rancher watermelon candy note still drags it down.

Bright, acidic raspberry fruit with a touch of iodine. Body-wise, on the thin side. In the race between fruit and acid, fruit won't win. A disappointment.

Garnet color with a fair amount of light coming through. Lots of red fruit—cherry, strawberry—on the tip of the tongue. Some pretty serious acid prevents it from seeming syrupy. In fact, the descriptive word that comes to mind is “lean.” Not terribly complex to my palate, but, certainly, not offensive.

Plenty of fun stem spice and herbs with good, cooler black cherry. Perhaps just a little lean and lacking some punch. (12.3 abv)

Unbalanced high acidity, fading fruit. First glass okay, second disappointing. Drink up.
