  • A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache, and 20% Cinsault from clay-limestone and schist soils, this has a ripe, fresh, smoky mineral, dark plum, mulberry, spice, and floral nose. The medium-full bodied palate is soft with rounded tannins and more smoky mineral, dark berry, mulberry, and touches of floral on the flavour profile. It has fresh acids while the finish is long and minerally.

  • Supple, ripe, developed, easy drinking. This is gamey and very true to its terroir. Delicious wine that also has more than a modicum of class about it.

  • Close to outstanding. Supple and ripe and open, but with a classy tannic grip. Warm and rich, with spice and some earthy notes. Easy to enjoy! Drinks very well now...

  • Best of the first three reds from Wine Direct’s inexpensive Easter sale. This is generous, characterful, very southern Rhone in style, but also seems well-balanced, and not at all warm in the finish. Lovely leathery (hint of oxidation?) notes gives this a forward personality. Gentle, yet drying tannins gives a nice structure to the palate.
