These wines didn't show on the nose as much as I was hoping for but the palate was pretty good, if lacking complexity, it had the hallmarks of warm vintage chardonnay and ok acidity considering the vintage. I actually was surprised by how this showed better than the Premier Cru and wonder if the latter has closed down a bit?

Subtle gunpowder flint, cool breeze, citrus, spicy and floral nose. Spicy with lemony citrus and rind on the palate, good acidity level, not flabby, fruit is surprisingly quite lean, abit of heat, some green notes, bitter rind, still some extract on the finish that requires extended cellaring.

Cab Franc hits and misses: Pleasant nose, if a touch on the oaky/reductive side, but coming across fairly soft and simple on the midpalate without much depth.

Really liked this, flinty minerals and citrus on the nose, lots more minerals on the palate with lots of acidity and a nice fruit and subtle oak on the med palate and a decent length to the finish

Wonderful classic Montrachet nose of smoke and limestone, with a trace of menthol/mint and lemon.
Delicious, well integrated balance of fruit and acidity, even at this youthful stage - a great bottle today, with a promise of much to follow...
Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.
