Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • One of the best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever tasted. Sells for over $200 (if you can find it), and worth it, to share with that special someone -- who appreciates great wine.
Appearance: A deep inky opaque, with hints of dark ruby at the rim. Wet jam look.
Nose: One of the best aromas of Cabernet I have ever experienced. A huge nose of very heady, attractive, and intense aromas, loaded -- upfront it is floral, spicy, herbal, earth, cedar, with secondary notes of tobacco, olives, saddle leather, and vanilla
Palate: The intense aromas continue on to the palate with full body; big in the mouth; plush, silky, rich, concentrated, flavours of ripe black fruits (currant, berry, and cherry) which are beautifully rounded and fleshy on the palate with great depth and soft mellowed chewy tannins. Incredible dry firm finish with tobacco, olives, and saddle leather that seems to go on forever.
