This is a wow wine! Ripe orchard fruits, butterscotch, dried porcini, medium acid core. A treat to drink this at this stage, drinking very well right now.

One of the finest wines I have ever had the pleasure to drink. After my first sip in the tasting room, I immediately found a quiet corner so I could close my eyes and finish drinking the pour. I almost didn’t care how much it cost - I wanted a bottle to share with my wife which we did for a special wedding anniversary celebration. Yes - Oregon Chardonnay most definitely ages and extremely well, especially when it is a producer like this.

Tasted at the winery. The wine is a medium golden yellow, much brighter than would be expected for a chard of this age, which I had guessed was about 20 years old rather than 30! There is some slight oxidation detectable on the nose but not enough to be unpleasant, just a sign of its age. I also got some butterscotch on the nose. Elegant and creamy texture with a strong flavor of grilled peach drizzled with honey and a long hazelnut finish. WOW!
