Kind of expected this to be extracted and modern but was pleasantly surprised at an aromatic, rather earthy and even funky nose. With a little time it clears up into cleaner red fruit (mainly cherry) with earthy dirt/clay. Not over extracted or overripe at all. Medium to medium light body. Tannin and acid are medium or less, unobtrusive but enough to stand up well to meaty food. Nebbiolo at this price point is rarely going to be good qpr per se but at $18 this isn’t bad at all.
Probably fine for a couple more years but doubt it’s really going to improve; drink up. ~6/10

Garnet and translucent. Musky and earthy. Cherry notes coming through with time. Full bodied acidity. Plums and orange and thyme. Evolving into red currant and raspberry on the lengthy tail.

Very good. Maroon in color with thin legs. Earth on the nose. Smooth texture with light cherry flavor.
