Decanted three hours. This isn't showing well at the moment with noticeable oak dominating the palate above delicious cassis, spice, and licorice. Great density and intensity and will be much better if it integrates with more cellar time. 93+

This rich but soft Cabernet is drinking beautifully right now, with an incredible mix of pure but savory fruit, a round mouthfeel, and dusty tannins. This has more energy and ripeness than the 2014, but it had a similar plushness. This will not win any awards for extraction, but its nuance and class are impressive - and tasty.
Cherry red in color and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of boysenberry, fresh leather, dried herbs, and gravel. The tastes lean savory, with notes of black cherry, crushed raspberry, pencil lead, olive tapenade, and bay leaf, with a dusty and lingering finish. 14.7% alcohol. I still prefer the depth of the Solari, but the Lark is a tremendous wine that drinks well early on - and should be even better in a few years.
