Wuksachi Lodge, Sequoia CA. Typical PN ripe cherry and bitter balance. Very sound, moreish and well made. Good value off list - bonus point. For drinking youngish.

We are going to give this young Pinot the benefit of the doubt that we are simply drinking it too young, but my first impression is not very good. It seems to have that burnt canopy, too much sunshine in the grapes almost roasted aroma and flavor. Probably what I am tasting is a young, rough spiciness that is not really a flaw. There is a raw sassafras leaf meets hemlock aroma and flavor that grows on you. Also shows a sneaky, lively freshness that has some merit. So I go from a skeptic to a believer with the second glass.

Smooth & easy to drink. Hints of red cherry & other berries with some vanilla. Taste slight spice. Silky & smooth finish.
