Day 1: A bit tight. Natural cork. Bell pepper, raspberries, rose petals and mild spices. Just not showing its true form. 88 points Day 2: More open for business rose petals, minerals, spices, red bell peppers, earth and dust. Very complex offering and medium plus finish. Nice acidity. Drink within a few more years as this is peaking. 92 points Day 3: Red bell pepper, spices, ripe cherries, raspberries, earth, floral and dust. Very nice on day 3 and for sure has plenty of life left. 92 points Recommendation: Decant a few hours and enjoy or drink through 2030.

This is drinking really well on day 2 and offers really nice fruit without the greeniness you get from Cabernet Franc at times. Unripe strawberrries, raspberries and mulberries. Also floral, earth and minerals on a medium plus finish. Excellent wine.

Day 1: Natural cork. Pop and pour. Well, the bell pepper is still present as one reviewer noted in 18. Also featuring underbrush, violets, earth, red currants and spices. Medium finish and nice acidity. Not a great wine for the money however. $44 via auction. 90 points Day 1.25: So much better with air. Bell pepper pretty much gone. Really nice now with violets, earth, dried herbs, raspberries, unripe strawberries and spices. Medium finish and solid. 92 points Day 2: Much more balanced on day 2 with cherry, earth, raspberries, earth, spice and dust. Medium finish. Solid wine. Drink now through 2028. 92 points Recommendation: A solid wine overall that is holding up. Drink through 2026.

Double decant. Ripe and Concentrated red and black fruits. Smooth tannins. Delicious long finish. My favorite wine from Avennia.
