  Needed 30 min of opening up. Nice and balanced red. Some dark red fruits, refined tannins, medium finish

  Lovely, enticing nose of sweet berries. Cabernet-like notes of pepper, cigar box and laurel. On the palate, this is a bit disjointed; some new oak, a lot of blackberries, a striking core of mineralogy and acidity which is not fully integrated with the fruit and oak. Some white pepper at the back end. Everyone loved this with some grilled steaks, green peppercorn cream sauce, Jerusalem artichokes, potatoes, and pan fried chanterelles. My thinking is that this should rest another five years or so. but drinking well right now of the impatient, if paired with the right food.
