Terroir-istes International - Germany, Riesling (Cape Town - Las Cases): (Tasted Blind): A light gold colour. Lifted, almost pungent fragrance of blossom, white flowers, chamomile and lemony notes. A vibrant citrus-tinged entry, the palate is captivating with excellent focus and linearity. A racy acidity balances the interplay of sugar, lemon peel, orange, and exotic fruited breakfast punch. Lovely delicacy as it glides across the palate and leaves a lasting lingering impression. A complex pure wine that closes with orange sorbet. Spanking wine!

Drinking great. Medium weight, good length, moderate acid, lovely fruit. Drank over three nights, good across the board--fruit gained a bit of sweetness, hint of resin.

Floral-pear-rubber nose with a herbal character and just a hint of ripe lime juice - sort of mojito-esque. A little sulfury on opening but blew off after 20 minutes. On the palate this is just off-dry with some nice grip on the mid-palate. The acid is ample but not ripping, and this finishes quite soft and pretty but with plenty of energy. Riper and richer than I was expecting, but a very nice reminder that not every Riesling has to be a laser-sharp acid bomb. 12%, $28.

Nose full of minerals lemon rind, citrus fruits, palate is crisp, with just a hint of RS, saline, lots of freshness and length

Delicious Riesling. Good acid slightly sweet with tropical notes.
