  • Drank over two nights, with and without food. Thick legs, definite bricking on rim and noticably cloudy apperance. Initial nose is very... Cameron (which, for those not familiar, is a very unique musky amalgam of sweat socks, oak and warm loam). Initial palate is very sharp and slightly tangy. Mid palate doesn't open up much mostly emphsizing fairly prominent tannins. The fruit seems one-dimensional and a little tired. The finish plesantly coats the palate. Seemed a little wild and untamed, and never really settled down. This bottle was a far better companion with food than a stand-alone bottle.

  • Less funky than JP's normal offerings, therefore bigger fruit profile to handle, very caressing, ripe red and dark fruits, long finish, balanced and pleasing

  • Not ready to drink. All the typical Cameron components are there--funk on the nose, the sweet, mid-palate burst of fruit, the tart dry finish with hints of saline. But this is totally disjointed right now. Lots of sharp edges and just not much fun to drink. I have no doubt it will come around, but it's hands off for now.
