Attractive nose of red and black pinot fruit with forest floor aromas. Rather appealing ripe fruit on the palate with refreshing acidity and promininent tannins. Long but somewhat dry and slightly bitter finish. Enjoyed it more this year than in 2007 (more complexity). (15/20)

Great dark purple color. At first the wine was a bit oaky and I was surprised by the amount of new oak in a generic Borgogne. Otherwise this was a real heady wine that was more in line with a really good village Gevrey than something like Borgogne.
