  • Should have had this one earlier, per the CellarTracker! drinking window, but it was still wonderful. Nice tropical fruit notes, with a bit of apricot. It has a fullness in the mouth that you really don't expect. Floral on the nose. This one received kudos from everyone.

  • Tropical fruit nose. Pineapple, apple and orange. Good minerality. A very rich wine that is full bodied. Nice mouth feel with reasonable acidity to keep everything in balance. A good summer wine and great QPR. 15.6% alcohol.

  • Floral notes of nectarines, apricots and white peach. Watched this wine evolve as it warmed to room temperature as the nose opened up. Lovely finish of white fruits with a slight amount of grip. I've read previous reviews and believe this wine did not get its due. Truely a stunner, for the nose, fruit, its delicateness and price. Brought this to drink with a few friends who are anything but Cali drinkers, and not a bad word. Then after an hour the white fruits had mellowed nicely and the floral notes where still there, we drank again. There aren't enough good Cali Rhones, the Viogneirs are all over the map, and the really good ones are $$$.
So if you want a break from the Chards and want to change it up .. this is a great choice.

  • Nose of nectarines and unripe pineapple. On the palate, rich medley of tropical fruit flavors, as well as some white peach. But the finish is really coarse and acidic and has a slightly burnt flavor to it. Still quite enjoyable, nonetheless. 87-88 points.

  • A bit greener tasting than I remembered from then tasting room, but that may be because it was not a good match for the food (chicken caesar salad). Enjoy it on its own or with food that does not involve garlic!!
