Weekend Wines: Nose is intriguing mélange of chestnut honey, elderflower and a few of the finest micro-planed white chocolate shavings. With some time there is some talcum powder and a little pineapple core too.
Palate has layers of honey and clementine, very good acidity and so refreshing. Most definitely as dry as Gewurz goes and all the better for it. There is is some freshly peeled lychee (not in syrup as can sometimes be the case) too... This is a very serious wine and the impression 30 seconds after swallowing is of a mouth puckering, fresh, food-friendly wine and not a sweet wine served with the wrong course.
From TWS. Perfect foil for some Thai Red Curry.

Very expressive aromas of Turkish Delight and roses. The palate is quite sweet rather than off dry and this bottle lacks the zip of acidity it needs to balance it, certainly different from the last bottle of wine I had, perhaps a fault?

Pronounced classic aromas of lychee, rose water, peach, Turkish Delight. To taste it’s got a ripe off dry palate with peaches, pineapple and lychee but with bright acidity to balance all that ripe exotic fruit and with a pleasant bitter, peach skin finish.

Bright transparent yellow colour. Light, but intense taste, all components are fanning out on the palate. One of the best vintages I tried of this wine. Recommended.

A Nice Gewürztraminer with a good balance of fruit and sweetness.
