AP 15 17. Amazing how much this has opened up in the two months since I last opened a bottle. Most of the initial reduction notes have receded and revealed the beginnings of a rich, vibrant, fruit-driven Auslese. I usually try to avoid fruit analogies, but this reminds me of a ripe starfruit - that wonderfully rich citrus/pineapple blend gripped in acidity. Surprisingly drinkable and food-friendly for such a powerful wine.
Seems like every year Stefan Erbes releases a more refined collection and I'm excited to try his Eiswein collection from this vintage!

AP 15 17. Too young to drink at this point. Predominant fermentation notes and a massively perfumed, very floral pallet. Very fruity. The underpinning acid framework is outstanding but this needs to settle down and integrate a bit before drinking. No score for now but I'll rate in six months or so when I open another bottle.

The filet of Uzi Wuzi that is super vertical and at a nice price. Good palate weight and depth too.
