Medium-deep yellow-green color. Clean, crisp and somewhat neutral nose with restrained, sweet-toned aromas of lemon marmalade, some reductive smoky tones, a little bit of cucumber water, light pink grapefruit notes, a hint of stony minerality and a touch of petrol. The wine is ripe, broad and somewhat oily on the palate with moderately full-body and somewhat off-dry, juicy flavors of beeswax, ripe golden apples, some pink grapefruit, a little bit of chalky mineral bitterness, a hint of sweet apricot and a touch of steely minerality. The high acidity and bright, slightly bitter mineral tones keep the wine very balanced and structured despite its touch of residual sugar. The finish is ripe, lively and nicely acid-driven with juicy, off-dry flavors of lemon marmalade, some stony and slightly grippy mineral tones, light beeswaxy notes, a hint of white peach and a touch of honey.
A tasty, juicy and slightly linear yet still rich and nuanced Grand Cru Riesling with a great balance between its residual sugar sweetness and racy acidity. Still youthful in style, the wine shows very little sense of development at the age of 7 years. Will continue to improve for many more years. Solid value at 15,89€.

Medium deep lemony yellow color. Rich, aromatic and rather sweet nose with nuanced and attractive aromas of lemon marmalade, some petrolly character, a little bit of wet stones, light peachy character, perfumed floral hints of apple blossom and a developed touch of something waxy. The wine is rich, quite full-bodied and pretty substantial on the palate with broad, slightly off-dry flavors of ripe lemony citrus fruit, some apricot, light petrol notes, a little bit of honey, a hint of pineapple and a touch of steely minerality. With its high acidity and bright, incisive minerality the wine comes across as pretty structured and thoroughly balanced. The finish is juicy, lively and very slightly warm with lengthy flavors of steely minerality, some ripe lemon marmalade character, a little bit of honey and a juicy hint of sweet nectarine-driven stone fruits.
A very lovely, complex and impressive Grand Cru Riesling that shows a bit more sugary sweetness than is typical of Alsatian Riesling, yet still manages to pull it all off impressively well. The wine is starting to show the first signs of age, but overall the wine is still quite youthful and a long way away from its apogee. Most likely the wine will be peaking at around 10 years of age. Good value at 16,99€.

Moi j’ai bien aimé, abricot et ananas avec une belle longueur. Un peu sucré, une bonne longueur. Bien en accompagnement ou meme seul. La texture est assez ronde avec beaucoup de gras. RQP ***1/2
