Striking bronze-gold colour. Sea spray, stone fruit pits and phenolic elements on the nose. The palate is for a natural wine of this magnitude relatively smooth and harmonic. Tangy mouth covering minerality accompanies you with every sip from the early beginning to the very end of the long lasting finish. For a 12 year old wine it presents it selves still very fresh due to its ample acidity albeit youthful fruit flavours are almost entirely replaced with mature notes of umami. Delish.

I didn’t really enjoy this wine in its youth but with age everything seems to knit together. Dark amber in color but not terribly oxidative. Roasted peaches with the sugar removed, almonds, medium tannins, fantastic acidity, raisin-y aroma but none of the cooked flavors- this is a great wine.

Very good; nice surprise. 11 of 12, with only a few showing any bottle variation; vast majority have been tops. When I poured the first glass, I wasn't exactly jazzed at the color (see below), but I had faith. That faith was well rewarded. Despite the amber-gold color, the nose (esp!) was insanely complex, and the palate was not as effusive though no less satisfying. That said, I'll be sure to drink my remaining bottle (held since release) within the next year or so. So many wonderful experiences here; happy to be lucky. highly recommended
Popped and poured; no formal notes. This was poured alongside the 2013 Gravner Ribolla and they we remarkably similar. The Arboreus was more dried peach than apricot (Gravner). Super complex. Looking back on my previous notes, they still apply. That being said, drink now as I don’t have a good read on what happens next with this wine and it’s delivering the good so well right now. Bottle No. 5864

Orange. Pronounced. Dry fruit, nuts, VA, honey, medicinal and yeasty. Seems tired. High acidity, tannic grip. FB.
