decanted for little over 30 minutes and tasted side by side vs 2006 and 2008. Lovely wine that does not appear to be in it late 40s but the hue has bricking. Excellent balance and fruit still. Clearly delicious and worth the effort.

My first Rioja of such an age opened to celebrate a friends recent good fortune. Soggy cork requiring decanting. Enjoyed with cheese and sausage. Consistent with prior descriptions. Light ruby, a bit of tannin and amazingly some fruit. Palate incredibly well balanced and and smooth as silk. I cannot compare to others, but I pleased I took a chance on the buy and would do so again if I had the opportunity.

ruby hue tamed but earthy funk just a wisp of tannin left and the acidity of fruit without much sweetness Seemed not as good with food but interesting on its own Palate was balanced and medium in length with soft landing. hard to rate very good+

Purchased at the same time as my previous bottle. This one had significantly more life in it. Red fruits combined with the tertiary components to leave me quite content.

Gone. My mistake trusting a drinking window to 2021. Wishful thinking.
