  • PnP. Mild citrusy nose. The usual Gewurz spiciness but any fruit was stifled by the high acidity. Drinkable yes, enjoyable not so much. The 2016 vintage is far superior.

  • Venue: Home; General Notes: Thirty Bench 2015 Small Lot Gewurtztraminer. Beamsville Bench, Niagra, Canada. The massive and promising white fruit and spice bouquet writes a check that this wine can’t cash: medium sweet, tart tree fruit gives way to an acidic and alcoholic finish. Tres unbalanced and unrefined. Should have left it at duty free in Toronto. That’ll teach me. 1.5 out of 4.
