Rubis clair crillant. Nez pas des plus expressif, graphite, petits fruits rouges, un peu de poussière, camphre. En bouche, frais, petits fruits acidulés avec une touche d’amertume, tanins présent mais souples, longueur moyenne+. Beau vin.

We like the style and philosophy of Abbatucci and this Faustine ( albeit we prefer his whites) did not fail us. Succulent and savory, no new oak here, pure and albeit on the young side on the the round side. Good dark fruits, nice bright feel of fruit and a proper little number from a worthy producer. 89

Light red. Light weight. More herb than fruit on the nose. Complex, savory, and lively in the mouth. A food wine above all else. Lithe enough to be very enjoyable now.

Light, clear ruby. Very much like a Beaujolais cru from a classic, stylish vintage-lighter weight, herbs, tart black fruit with great clarity, finishing stoniness. Then add licorice, white pepper, and underbrush. A certain wild, untamed aspect to it. Every time I smell this wine (across vintages), I think "This must be what Corsica smells like". Someday I will make it there and find out whether this fantasy is true.
