  Last of several bottles I got at the winery when first released.
  I was surprised how strong the fruit still was. Dense, powerful dark berries with soft tannins and chalky oak. Definitely a fruit forward Napa style offering. If that is what you like, give her an hour to wake up
  and this lusty lady will not disappoint. The oak calms down and everything comes together for a nice older California cab type of experience.

  Nice finish, perhaps a bit young. Better on day 2. The fruit is there - blackberry in particular. Not perfectly balanced, just a touch too acidic for my tastes...but then, cabernet is not my favorite.

  Not impressed with the 2003 Lancaster. Seemed pretty simple. Very pleasant, but not much character or interest. Just a plain solid bordeaux blend. 88-89 pts.
