So typical of the 2015 Mâcons, full of fruit, almost Californian in style. Light golden in color with a balance of cream from the ML and fruit from the vintage in both nose and taste. Finishes soft for a Pouilly Fuissé. Oak is present. A bit simple.
2ND TASTING: Lighter, it seems, from the 1st tasting. A certain tropicality comes forth, making it almost like a South Coast California Chardonnay. Is Georges Duboeuf trying to craft his wines this way to appeal to the U.S. market? With its inherent softness and slight minerality, it almost seems like a northern Rhône white.
