Very New World as compared to the Galatrona 2004. All spicy red currant, chocolate, and vestiges of blueberries and some black fruit in the background, with a bit of oak still in the mix. It definitely holds its own in a side by side comparison with the Galatrona, but there are clear stylistic differences. Notes are similar and consistent with my July 2012 tasting. I still maintain this will drink well for another 3-4 years. Definitely a brand to look for!

Color just starting to show signs of bricking, still a vibrant dark hue. Good pepper on the start with a full finish of the wonderful fruit of the valley. Hints of blackberry and cherry. Very nice solid wine with years left if you have any left in the cellar.

If I didn't know otherwise, I would have guessed this was from Napa not Washington. A dark, full bodied Merlot; still very youthful in appearance, without signs of bricking or sediment when decanted. Needs 30 minutes or so to start to open. This is big and dense by Washington standards, definitely not a fruit bomb and clearly classy and well made. Almost reminiscent of a slightly less expensive Leonetti Merlot. Initially, somewhat restrained on the nose but when it starts to open...POW! Aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, vanilla, spice, mint, and some earthiness. Complex and impressive flavors of blueberry pie, dark mint-chocolate covered cherries, and vanilla custard, layered with hints of tobacco, coffee, black pepper, cedar, and an interesting herbaceous undertone. Very balanced, integrated, and silky, but still maintaining plenty of structure, all of which create a very, very long and persistent finish. IMHO, this will drink well for another three to five years, regardless of what the community recommends. Excellent merlot and drinking wonderfully.

(PEPPER BRIDGE MERLOT) #4; COLOR-very dark; NOSE-very interesting; little just used match component; herbal tea aspect; classic black cherry; hint of black pepper; TASTE-comes across very New World; very Hi-C shiraz-esque; very over-the-top; the fruit is reedonkulously good & pure (like I'm biting into the grapes); Old World folks will hate, but many will love; for me it's awkwardly ahead of it's time; little smoked Canadian bacon aspect; very complete & complex; I'm confused by this wine; I will buy a 6-pack & drink a bottle every year or every 2 years to see how it evolves; JM-92; GV-90

Perfect age to drink. Loads of fruit with great secondary aromas and flavors. Tannins nicely integrated. Long finish

Pleasant drinker -- not too revealing on the nose. Somewhat tight and restrained at first on the palate -- reveals an earthiness and oak over time.
