A few years of patience have paid off. This is a wonderful, complex and elegant Ontario Pinot at its peak, just starting to show some tertiary notes. Delicate, pale rust in the glass fading to clear at the rim.
Quite evolved in the nose with notes of soil, truffle, worn baseball glove leather, cranberry and sour red cherry.
Palate is soft and harmonious with fully integrated tannins and punchy acidity.
Flavours are earthy and tart with a long, silky finish.
If in the cellar, drink in the next 12 months.

This is an elegant example of an Ontario Pinot. There is a nice tension which holds everything together. Kirsch and Rhabarber dominate the palate and it paid off to import those French barrels which add a general dosage of spicy ness. There were no tertiary flavours present so I will earmark my last bottle for five years from now to see how it’s envolves.

One of the better Ontario Pinots I've tried. Reminded me of a very good Villages from, say, Savigny or Chorey. Fully Burgundian in style with none of the New World cola or beetroot notes.

This is quite nice. Plenty of wood spice, hint of leather make this savory, and with cherry and minerality and smooth mouthfeel. Some nice complexity, yet also very easy to drink.
