  • This starts off brilliant, but quickly settles into something very good. Rich, fruity and reserved with aromas of licorice, morello chery, leather and cedar. Like a good vino nobile di montalcino. Medium to full bodied on the palate with high acid, medium tannin, a noticeable alcoholic bite, more licorice and a dry, clean finish. The alcohol is a bit aggressive for my taste but there is something refined here. Great with a lamb tagliatelle and eggplant Parmesan. I really enjoyed this. Good for another 5 years?
