Have been opening a bunch of bottles during the pandemic that perhaps needed a few more years, but this is one that was really good right now. Since my last bottle a year ago, this has really developed in complexity, now showing some dried flower notes. I imagine this will get even better with time.

Hard to score right now, as it’s young. In my experience, Chinons can age for a damn long time (and often need to). This has great balance, so I imagine it will really develop well over the next decade or so. Put this in your cellar and forget it for awhile and you’ll be rewarded.

Always a solid Cab Franc, and just turning the corner to open up now. As always, this will age beautifully. Great value in the low $20s.

Can drink now, but no rush. Solid Chinon.

Clean, great acidity, nice fruit, some herbaceousness. Would be a wonderful food wine.
