First NZ Gamay noir. Screwcap bottle. No decanting. Very approachable Gamay with combination of lean berry fruit, pepper and stemminess up front. Fairly soft but just enough acidity to hold everything together. Well balanced wine, pleasant but with fairly simple aromatics. Would drink again.

Very elegant Gamay- very pinot like. Silky tannins and a little herbal/earthy notes

Business trip to San Diego!
Strawberries, black cherries, red currants. Fruit is on the riper side for Gamay. Medium bodied. A step above vin de soif for me.

Tasting the November 17, 2017 new releases (små partier) at Systembolaget (Systembolaget, Stockholm): tulip stems on the nose, sweet and too simple on the palate for me. (80-83)
