  Brief note from memory with BBQ at a friend's house...appropriate pairing for this high alcohol (15.2%ABV) fruit forward, dark, brooding, jammy expression from the Russian River Valley. It worked with spicy, chipotle burgers particularly well. Nothing subtle about this wine but despite the ripeness it worked in the circumstance.
